The Medela Swing Flex has the unique 2-Phase Expression - an advanced pumping pattern that mimics a baby's natural nursing rhythm. The Stimulation Mode mimics your baby's initial rapid sucking to start your milk flowing, and the Expression Mode simulates your baby's slower deeper sucks to express your milk gently and efficiently.
The Swing Breast Pump is recommended for regular frequent daily use. Such as 3 to 4 times per day. Also a great medela pump to have for occasional use because it is so nice to use, quick, quiet, comfortable, and easy.
Medela now have a new "Flex" technology which means the connector pieces, breastshields, and tubes are different to previous models of the Swing pump. Semi flexible feeling breastshield which you can position and rotate for most comfort, in various pumping positions and angles.

Note from Franny:
if you're planning to feed your baby with a bottle then you'll also need to grab a screw lid so that you can attach a narrow neck size teat (such as Medela Spare Teat, Universal Teat, or Chu Chu teat which are all compatible). This breast pump is compatible with the Calma teat which does not need a Screw lid. If you're confused please just contact us!
